Mordavia is a dark fantasy LARP based in Auckland, New Zealand. We use safe foam weapons for combat and we put an emphasis on atmosphere and roleplaying.

LATEST NEWS (14th December 2006)

The final weekend event Mordavia: Endgame was played on 1st-3rd December 2006 at Stedfast Park in Piha.

The Mordavia campaign is now complete. A big thank you to everyone who has made this a great series of events over the years: players, crew, GMs, cooks, makeup people and co-organisers, you all did a wonderful job.

For over a year now Mordavia has been a project of the New Zealand Live Action Roleplaying Society (NZLARPS), and the project has gained immensely from the relationship. Many of the people involved in Mordavia are continuing to create alternate realities with the society, so if you're looking for more larp in New Zealand then I suggest checking out NZLARPS and the NZ community larp forum Diatribe which many folks from Mordavia now visit.

If you're in Christchurch and are interested in Mordavia, catch up with Scott Farndon who posts under the username "Rasker" on Diatribe. He's the original founder of the main Mordavia campaign, and is now starting another campaign set in Mordavia's distant past.

Thanks again, look forward to seeing you all at future New Zealand larps.

The final weekend event Mordavia: Endgame was played on Dec 1st-3rd at Stedfast Park in Piha.

On 27th June 2005 we ran Mordavia: Conclave. It was filmed by a TV3 crew for a 2-minute article, which was shown on Nightline on Tuesday 28 June 2005 at 10:30pm.
